Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors.
It differs from broadcast television in that the signal is not openly transmitted, though it may employ point to point wireless links. CCTV is often used for surveillance in areas that may need monitoring such as banks, casinos, airports, military installations, and convenience stores.
In industrial plants, CCTV equipment may be used to observe parts of a process from a central control room; when, for example, the environment is not suitable for humans. CCTV systems may operate continuously or only as required to monitor a particular event. A more advanced form of CCTV, utilizing Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), provides recording for possibly many years, with a variety of quality and performance options and extra features (such as motion-detection and email alerts).
Almost CCTV camera in the world, had a different system of power. CCTV camera in ten years ago, always package with the monitor, and just use single coaxial cable or data cable to connect it, so a video signal and power source booth of them together colect in one cable, there was many problem there, expecially if we install the Camera in long distance maybe more than 100 m , but now CCTV had independent power so we can install the camera let we say 500m distance directly and still had a clear picture without any booster Now we can say all the CCTV camera in the market had a Audio Video signal who had catch by regular television on your home. How to install it is very easy
1.Just conect the cctv camera with the power supply and you can plug in the wall.
2.Conect the Video output with the coaxial cable and then plug the other side to AV in on your television.
Just this..1 and 2 and ready ! the problem is if we instal the CCTV Camera with the complex using like in the factory, school, supermarket, airport, etc because there are different way, different equipment and different implementation. depend on the place we want to install the camera.
( Indonesia ) Ya ..Ok bagaimana kita memasang CCTV Camera, kalo jaman dulu CCTV Camera selalu dijual set , maksudnya selalu dijual satu paket dari pabrik. ada kameranya , ada kabelnya, ada monitornya , kita tinggal konekkan ujung kabel yang satu ke kamera ujung satunya ke monitor, setelah itu monitor dinyalain..udah gitu aja, tapi biasanya jarak kabelnya terbatas jadi kita yang menyesuaikan , soalnya kalo disambung biasanya muncul garis-garis diagonal jalan. Kalo sekarang CCTV nya yang menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan kita.jadi istilahnya tinggal custom ,ya lebih flexibel lah, caranya juga cukup gampang hanya konekkan kabel dengan jack lalu pasangkan di kamera kemudian ujungnya di konekkan dengan jack input video di televisi biasa lalu nyalakan CCTV nya , biasanya pake adaptor, udah..gitu doank. cuma memang ada instalasi yang lebih kompleks misal kalo kita pasang CCTV di pabrik, sekolah, supermarket, airport dll tapi pada dasarnya sama aja tinggal kita mau pake system yang bagaimana sama main imajinasi diletakkan dimana enaknya nih kamera..tapi bagi yang masih belajar jangan takut , kalo sampe salah posisi digeser aja nggak papa..:)
(english ) Power Supply Installation is very important section of CCTV installation , there is a many way to install the power supply This my Opinion.
1. For Single Cable CCTV Camera or the instalation of Power supply is not had any problem because all power is supply from central monitors , but that is done for many years latter because the Single cable CCTV Camera was not being a favorite model anymore, just in submergible/ under water camera, because there a complicated component to fixed and expensive budget if there are had a mulfunction happens.
2. Sentral power supply with the Regulated Power supply.
There is the easy way to install the power, we conect all the camera with DC power supply in central, most people say this best way because there goal to minimalized electrical hazard risk near the camera, not hot bla..bla..bla..etc
BUT in my Opinion there is a BAD idea because in the first year I am move in CCTV i was install like this, you know what happened? there is more problem within that after 6 - 10 mounth installation, The beginning I'am confuse and just repair or changes the regulated power supply but after more time investigation i found it that
a.If you install the CCTV with the same distance from Regulated Power Supply there is no many problem you just account the maximum power in Regulated power supply maybe 20 A multiply with 60% of that
b. If you install CCTV with a fariable distance maybe camera1 50m, camera2 75m, camera3 125m etc THATS A BAD IDEA to install the power like this. because power will supply with the different Voltage more distance the voltage will reduce, more resistance and more majour
I was try to use a good cable but there is not to helped in long period, it will happened the longes distance camera will disapear from your monitor slowly and than blank because the voltage was reduce 1-2 volt DC..if you trim the regulated power supply it can help ,but you see what happened with the nearest camera it would be overexposure because there is over voltage 2-4 volt DC and be careful it can be burn and will broken shortly.
c.If there any trouble with the regulated power supply , all the camera will shut off together.
3. Independent power Supply
There is looks like a hard way but in my opinion this better than central power supply. We still can install central power, but main AC power not DC power so we still can controll the OFF and ON of the power. some guys said thet if we use the adaptor it would be hot and can make a fire, yes if we use a bad adaptor or we had a wrong installation of adaptor.
a.Use the good adaptor, maybe there is not a cheap one but it safe and durable, not HOT for long period maybe 2-5 years they getting ON
b.Install The connector wall of adaptor with the electricity terminal not with the wall socket, because for a long period wall socket will HOT and getting melt, there is a couse a fire hazard.
c. Use the good Cable , minimum we can use 0x 0,75 mm NYMHY cable to install it , and ones more there is not cheap but it safe.
d.If you want more safely use independence fuse in each camera.
So if we install the power like this we not affraid if there is one or two adaptor had mulfuction , just one off two camera will shut off - not all, so we had more protect in security. And this more economic if we had troublelshot because the adaptor price even a good one not so expencive than a regulated power supply.
( Indonesia ) Ini nih yang lumayan penting tapi kadang terabaikan , cara penginstalan atau pemasangan atau pemilihan system power supply, sering bikin orang berdebat. menurut saya ya seperti penjelasan diatas itu..nggak ngerti ya?..ah bo'ong paling juga ngerti. saya males nerjemahinnya..panjang sih..
(english ) Color quad processor is similiar looks like DVR or quad processor is similiar looks like a quad processor but there is one basic diffrent beetween booth of them in quad processor there is no media storage like HDD so it make quad processor can not record them selflike a DVR
